the bald faced stag hotel has recently been refurbished and is now undoubtably one of Sydney's premier live music venues, if you haven't dropped in then you should give it a look. Wednesday nights from 8pm the Bald Faced Stag host Sydney's longest running semi professional jams, with monthly special guests and a host of the best players in town attending regularly House band comprises of Jim Finn drums vocals, Al Britton Bass vocals, and Adam Pringle on guitar and vocals …

"Horrible"
Managers (waiters that seat and greet) resemble garrison dictators waiving their arms around and whistling to their waiters. Intimidating atmosphere and a fast food style of service - from the mechanical/fake greeting, to the unrelaxed, pushy waiters. Obviously this attitude is passed down from the thug like manager. Food was very average for the price we paid (except the Bruschetta). Given the efforts of the restaurant to offer efficent service through having strict managers, the service and time we had to wait for our drinks and food resembles the worst of restauarants that are understaffed where nobody has the time for you/ except for fast food style service, and that's where it ends. This place however seemed to be fully staffed. Intimidating leaders never make for a superior experience. …

this place is very understated but does great food. unlike many of the ultramodern italian restaurants in the area the waitstaff are extremely attentive and are always friendly. try the spinach and ricotta canneloni. perfect place for dinner on the way to the city and close to norton st if you want to go out for coffee or gelato after. …
