Wondrous Possessions

Wondrous Possessions is a visual and philosophical explanation that rethinks our engagement with material culture and history.

This is an exhibition of exquisite images of the historic palazzi constructed by the Gonzaga family in Mantua, Italy; the Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo Te and Palazzo San Sebastiano, as well as the state archives, Archivio di Stato di Mantova. This work depicts the monumental salons of these once private palazzi as well as the secret spaces that sequester and archive the wondrous possessions that speak both of the profoundly rich histories and remarkable inhabitants, as well as the ever shifting and re-shaping of history and historic architecture.
