Everything from the service to the venue and food was absolutely FANTASTIC! Even after having "unexpected" guests stop by, the staff were incredibly understanding and did their very best to help accommodate the extras. This place needs to change it's Customer Service regeme! 1. More than once, we have tried to make a booking by phone, and have been told that there wasn't anything available. Then we have turned up and been seated within 5 minutes. 2. We made a booking and turned up, and had to wait 15 minutes to be seated - with a makeshift table in an aisle. 3. We ordered a meal that 'used to be' on the menu (vegetarian risotto) and they delivered another meal altogether (Leak and Pumpkin Risotto). Then tried to charge us for those meals, so we left and won't be going back EVER!!!!!! Most of these issues, we believe are attributed to some of the staff not grasping the english language correctly. Definitely give this place a BIG MISS - staff are condescending, so is the owner when confronted about these issues! …

Although the bright shiny lights had attracted us to the Crown Casino during my trip to Melbourne, it was a little bar tacked onto a bowling alley where we spent the majority of our drinking time. Being from Brisbane, the novelty of being able to smoke and drink at the same time in a club is a moment to savour, perhaps this simple change of the rules makes my review of Kingpin a bit bias! Regardless, a few pool tables, fancy jukebox and some space age 'Jetson' type retro furniture and neon lights was just what we were in the mood for - a few drinks and a bit of fun. My only complaints was the girls we were with were hit by a water balloon (!!!) by one of the staff members, by accient of course. Compensation was received in the form of free drinks and bowling passes, but still, you don't expect to have to watch out for water balloons in any drinking establishment. …
