Grab your mouthguard and a copy of The Complete Works, because Impro Melbourne are back with the 2012 instalment of the nation’s hottest theatrical sporting event; Theatresports™! Fresh from sell-out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the players are officially READY TO RUMBLE! Running every Sunday during May and June at The Space, the competition this year culminates in the epic Grand Final (24 June) staged at Federation Square’s iconic BMW Edge.

Theatresports™ is a competition-based improvisation format performed around the world in which teams perform scenes based on challenges from their fellow performers, or the match host. The pace is fast and the performance hilarious, and with 27 years of experience with the format behind them - you can expect Impro Melbourne to have their game on!

Impro Melbourne regulars include some of Australia’s most experienced and skilled talent: Jason Geary (National Theatresports™ Champion 2010), Patti Stiles (International ‘Queen of Impro’ and National Theatresports™ Champion 2010), Lliam Amor (National Theatresports™ Champion 2009), Rama Nicholas (National Theatresports™ Champion 2009), Rik Brown (National Theatresports™ Champion 2011), Jimmy James Eaton (National Improvisor Best and Fairest 2009), Patrick Duffy (National Theatresports™ Champion 2011), Michelle Nussey (National Theatresports™ Champion 2010), Sarah Kinsella (Victorian Theatresports™ Champion 2010), Mark Gambino (Victorian Theatresports™ Champion 2010) and Amanda Buckley (Sydney Theatresports™ Cranston Cup Champion 2010).
