"character and warmth"
An old style hotel with a great hostess in the form of Tildy, who is extremely helpful and at all times charming. Comfortable rooms, some with en-suite (those without have a basin, and the clean bathrooms are nearby in the corridor) a good continental breakfast, nice guest lounge, a lift for heavy luggage and a "can't be beaten" location just a stone's throw from Salamanca Market as well as the city itself. Off-street parking is available behind the motel. We were made to feel very welcome and would recommend this place to groups, couples and singles for both short and long stays. …

Terrible meal. Cold pre cooked food not good. We worked out that they precook the meals and refrigerate then microwave them; they serve the meals like 2 min after the order is taken. Will not return. Restaurant noisy and can't even hear the person sitting with you. Advice: Go to Amigo's in North Hobart for a real mexican meal ! …

Within a few visits you’re a regular right down to knowing your desired coffee preferences and seating arrangements. …
