We first approached Gordon'is after seeing the recent upgrades and thought it would be ideal for dinner. Apon our arrival we were a bit concerned that the Maitre D saw us coming and turned his back. This was annoying due to the fact that we were not clad in T-shirts and Supre dresses like some of the other patrons. We watched him "work" throughout the night and actually wondered what his primary purpose was apart from attending his booth. The food most certainly made up for this. Drinks were fabulous and topped up super quick. Mains were out in around 15 minutes and were just amazing. After this a few tables of rowdy "VB" drinkers turned up and everything went south. Waitresses were distracted by the activity and the noise. They could have done with some help. Maybe our Maitre D could have helped out. It took us around 35 mintues to get the attention of a waitress (who was busy beyond belief and getting no help) after we had been given dessert menus. Dessert was amazing, the chai lattes were just as amazing. Just need a bit of a "Gordon Ramsay" on service and staff. Can't be distracted by loud tables and sudden increases in activity. So we left feeling very full and content...a little less than fussed over. So left tiny tip. Service makes up for a lot. Food = 8 outta 10 service = 5 sorry. …
