The Australian Street Entertainment Championships presented by The High Street Surfers Paradise, a peoplepower hit at last year’s Surfers Paradise Festival, returns to the precinct in 2012.

The event brings together some of the world’s best street artists – jugglers, acrobats, magicians and musicians – as they vie for the crowd’s attention. Based around three performance areas on the foreshore and a fourth at The High Street Surfers Paradise, ASEC promises a taste of unsung talent, creative innovation and fearlessly energetic performance.

The event’s three exhilarating days of pavement performances crescendo with the sunday afternoon finals on the foreshore.

Knowing their audience might wander off at any moment, these artisans of the showbiz coalface put it all on the line to dazzle, intrigue and amaze. So vote with your feet – or a coin in the hat – as the title of Australia’s Street Entertainment Champion goes up for grabs in Surfers Paradise.
