at 9:30pm at selected South East Queensland Event and Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinemas.
South East Queensland Marketing Manager Kristie Pain said the film will play simultaneously in
cinemas across the world.
“It’s great for us to be part of this amazing global event and with the screening on a Friday, there’s
no better way to get revved up for a night out on the town than by watching one of the world’s best
DJs play to over 40,000 dance music fans,” she said.
The 2012 Big Beach Bootique is the latest edition in a series of events stretching through the last
decade, and featuring the biggest football stadium dance event the UK has ever seen.
Filmed in Fatboy Slim’s hometown of Brighton, the event features a 600 square metre LED video
wall that stretches the whole length of the stadium pitch, incredible laser and light show effects.
Fatboy Slim is a multi-platinum selling artist, having sold millions of albums around the world. His
legendary album “You’ve Come A Long Way Baby”, catapulted him to global stardom with
international anthems such as “Rockafella Skank”, “Praise You” and “Right Here, Right Now”,
making the name Fatboy Slim synonymous with the sound of a new global dance music generation.
Playing just last night at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony, Fatboy Slim is the
winner of ten MTV Music Video Awards and is one of the most iconic pioneers in the history of
worldwide dance music. He is one of the most revered and sought after DJs on the planet, playing
to hundreds of thousands of adoring fans every week, from Ibiza to Rio, Tokyo to Perth. His
seminal video clip for “Weapon of Choice” took full advantage of Academy Award winner
Christopher Walken’s dance background, and won 6 MTV Music Video Awards in one night.
