Ballarat Backpackers Hostel formerly known as the Eastern Station Hotel for the last 140 years is conveniently located in the heart of Ballarat, being only a five minute walk to the central business district. Within three to four blocks you have a choice of over a dozen fine eating places and some popular antique outlets. Close to bus stops and train station and only a five minute drive to the very popular Sovereign Hill. Having been neglected for a number of years and in desperate need of attention, major renovations were undertaken in 2000 to restore some of the former beauty of the 1800's, keeping practicality in mind. Boasting eight picturesque bedrooms, sitting area and bathrooms on the first floor. Small kitchenette with basic appliances which include toaster, microwave and kettle.
