Relive the beginning of rail in Queensland and board a magnificently restored steam train for a one and a half hour round trip through the scenic country side west of Ipswich to historic Grandchester then return to the Museum to enjoy the action at the Annual Workers Reunion & Ipswich Heritage Faire. Bookings are essential.

Adults $40.00, Concessions $37.00, Children (under 3) FREE, Children (3 to 15) $31.00, Family (2 Adults & 2 Children) $124.00.


How to get there:
The Workshops Rail Museum is an easy 40 minute drive from downtown Brisbane and parking is free. Follow the brown Cobb & Co Tourist Drive signs when you arrive in Ipswich.

Using a GPS?
Enter "North Street, North Ipswich" in your GPS (or latitude -27.597, longitude 152.759).

Queensland Rail runs trains from Brisbane's Central Station and Roma Street Station to Ipswich Station regularly. Contact TransLink on 13 12 30 or www.translink.qld.gov.au for details.

Bus transfers from Ipswich Station to the Workshops Rail Museum are operated by Westside Buses. Contact TransLink on 13 12 30 or www.translink.qld.gov.au for details.

Extensive coach parking is available on site.

Heritage Railway Workshops Tours:
Tours leave regularly throughout the day, enquire at the ticket office so you don't miss out. Enclosed footwear is required for your safety.
