Four savvy female entrepreneurs joined forces a year ago to promote the efforts of women in business and after launching across Australia now bring their crusade to Brisbane, with a launch event to take place Tuesday August 21.
The League of Extraordinary Women is committed to supporting, empowering, and inspiring women who are “doing it for themselves”. Since the first event in Melbourne it has grown beyond the imagination of even the most dogged corporate diva with sell-out events in every state. It’s now Brisbane’s turn to welcome the League and bring together successful women from every industry.
The Brisbane launch will feature two rousing female speakers. From professional shark-feeder at Underwater World and stunt driver at Movie World to best-selling author, Rachael Bermingham’s story is remarkable. Best known for the 4 Ingredient cookbook series, Rachael has written six best-selling books in the last four years and is regarded as one of Australia’s top self-published authors.

Also speaking on the night is ultra-marathon athlete Samantha Gash. Graduate lawyer Samantha is the youngest Australian to run 379km non-stop across the Simpson Desert. At 26, Samantha is also the youngest female to compete in the world’s Crossing the Desert ultra-marathon series which is four 250km desert crossings.
Guests will also get the opportunity to speak with other successful Brisbane-based business owners who understand what it takes to build a company from scratch, and more importantly, make it a success.
