Concert to showcase this young womans irrepressible style

- The Courier -Mail, QLD

Piano, Voice and Pipe Organ with Maria Welna promises to be an intimate, one performer masterpiece at a heritage venue. The perfect way to spend a Saturday evening, the recital will showcase a unique blend of virtuoso works across several musical genres, four musical eras, three instruments and four languages. Audience members will embark on a journey through some of the worlds most stunning repertoire played on a combination of instruments that dont often bask in the full glory of a recital stage.

Maria Welna , a 20 year old Australian concert pianist, pipe organist, singer (soprano) and composer founded her Chopin and Friends Recital Series in 2003. Stemming from an artistic vision of advocating quality classical music to large non-musical and musical audiences, the Series strives to make the works of the Great Masters and their often poignantly tragic yet enthralling lives more accessible and appealing to the public.
