This program opens with one of the greatest works by Schubert composed at the age of 30. Ernest Hutcheson (1871-1951) was the first great Australian pianist, whose post-Brahmsian compositions are brilliantly tuneful and deserve being revived After Percy Grainger, Arthur Benjamin (1893-1960) was probably Australias most successful composer before Peter Sculthorpe. Ian Munros Divertissement is an homage to the French composer Satie - a day spent in his company.

Schubert Impromptus D935 Ernest Hutcheson Prelude Op. 11(1921)

Three Pieces Op.. 12- Idyll, Humoresque & Album
