"Absolutely Appalling Customer Service" 
We recently organised a farewell at the Marryatville Hotel, I rang from Melbourne 4 weeks prior to organise, and to make sure that there would be food available, the playground would be open, and that there would be tables, and we would be there between 2pm and 5pm. When we arrived the kitchen closed at 2pm, we were not allowed to sit in the seating area, as they wanted to set up for dinner 4 hours before, and they closed the playground for the children at 2.30pm. When I complained to the manager, he was unapologetic and rude, as were the rest of the staff. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, avoid it and choose a more people friendly and child friendly hotel, where the staff actually enjoy their job rather than being rude to customers. …
