TERRAIN
the wonder of Lake Eyre

Adelaide Festival Centre and Bangarra Dance Theatre present a fusion of contemporary dance and storytelling commissioned by artistic director Stephen Page.

Described as a hymn to country, TERRAIN transports us to Lake Eyre, the place of Australia's inland sea and one of the few untouched natural waterways in the world. Bangarra artists explore the innate connection of Indigenous people to country and landscape as second skin.

Award-winning Aboriginal artists: choreographer Frances Rings, composer David Page and set designer Jacob Nash create a powerful and evocative production inspired by the timeless beauty of Lake Eyre.

Beyond the ancient vastness we travel through drought and deluge. We wonder at the ephemeral transformation of place. The place where nature delivers in abundance, promises all, but guarantees nothing.
